Where Dripstone Caves Generate
Dripstone Caves are an underground biome filled with pointed dripstone and dripstone blocks. Unlike Lush Caves, they have no dependable surface plant marker.

How to Find Dripstone Caves
Large pointed formations and exposed dripstone blocks make this cave biome recognizable even where it intersects ordinary caverns.
What to Look For
- Explore large cave entrances and deep ravines to expose more underground biome area
- Prioritize broad caverns where dripstone clusters are visible at a distance
- Use shields, feather falling, and careful lighting because stalagmites increase fall damage
Find Dripstone Caves with Commands
Use /locate biome minecraft:dripstone_caves in Java Edition; choose dripstone_caves from Bedrock autocomplete.
Common Search Problems
If the search is taking much longer than expected, check these common causes.
- A small dripstone cluster can generate outside a full Dripstone Caves biome
- There is no equivalent of the Lush Cave's azalea marker
- Narrow branch mining reveals less biome area than natural cave exploration
