Most mineshafts reveal themselves where their wooden corridors intersect caves, while badlands can expose sections much closer to the surface.
What to Look For
- Explore broad cave systems and ravines for wooden supports, rails, and cobwebs
- In badlands, scan exposed cliffs and cave mouths for surface-level supports
- Listen for cave spiders, minecart sounds, and mobs behind walls while mining
