Where Meadows Generate
Meadows generate as grassy mountain biomes, commonly on broad slopes or plateaus below higher peaks. Flowers cover the grass, while trees are sparse and may contain bee nests.

How to Find Meadows
Meadows appear as flower-rich mountain clearings, often forming a gentler band below steeper peaks.
What to Look For
- Search the lower and middle elevations of large mountain ranges
- Look for broad green slopes with many flowers and very few trees
- Use the transition between plains and snowy mountain biomes as a search corridor
Find Meadows with Commands
Use /locate biome minecraft:meadow in Java Edition; choose meadow from Bedrock autocomplete.
Common Search Problems
If the search is taking much longer than expected, check these common causes.
- Flower Forest contains many trees and is not a Meadow
- Windswept Hills may be grassy but lacks the same flower coverage
- A tiny flower patch does not confirm the biome
